This article does not really say anything new but I found it amusing how Dr. Hawass seems to be pulling back from his role at the head of the antiquities service and describing himself as a mere paper pusher.
Do we know if the accusations have been made "official" - i.e will Zahi Hawass have to defend himself in court- or are the rumours and accusations just that (for now)?
I think Egyptian prosecutors have been given documents that some think should result in charges against Dr. Hawass though no charges have been officially laid to my knowledge.
I would be cautious that the documents represent anything other than a desire by some officials to make sure Dr. Hawass does not return to the antiquities service,(propaganda)?
