So here we are presented with the completion of part of the avenue of sphinxes at Luxor. A complicated tale to resurrect an ancient processional way between the Karnak temple and the Luxor temple. The project may be one of the best examples of the power of the former regime to bully the Egyptian people into this extravagant and unnecessary end.
