It has been decided to set up a replica of Tutankhamun's tomb next to Howard Carter's house near Luxor, where it will stay until the Grand Egyptian Museum opens, at which time the replica tomb will be put there where it was supposed to go.
The replica has been made so that Tutankhamun's tomb will no longer be exposed to thousands of visitors breathing and damaging its ancient frescos. I myself couldn't care less about Tutankhamun's tomb, Howard Carter's house, or the replica.
