Amateur explorers have stumbled upon a cave filled with paintings that may be at least 8000 years old. The cave known as "Cave of the beasts" is located within a few miles of the famous "Cave of the swimmers" in the southwest desert that borders Egypt with Libya and Sudan.
German archaeologist Rudolph Kuper said of the paintings that they were more than likely created by hunter-gatherers. Kuper's team has scanned the paintings with a laser to get high-definition images of the work.
