This is an article based on lectures at the Royal Ontario Museum. Unfortunately, when mentioning the people who have excavated at Deir el-Bahari, the author forgot to mention Charles Currelly. Mr. Currelly was one of the most important people without whom the Royal Ontario Museum might not have an Egyptian collection.
Charles Currelly collected thousands of Egyptian objects for the Royal Ontario Museum. Amongst other things, Mr. Curlley's assistance to Edouard Naville's excavation of the temple of Mentuhotep II brought to Toronto wooden models from that king's tomb.
